Ironbark Electrical was founded in Brunswick in 2015, after our founder spent years watching rushed electrical work create hazards that cost homeowners twice to fix. The business was built on a simple position: electrical work is safety work, and it should be done once, properly, with the paperwork to prove it.

Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. We're a Registered Electrical Contractor (REC) with Energy Safe Victoria, every electrician on the team is licensed, and we carry $20 million public liability insurance. Every job comes with a certificate of electrical safety.
Do I really need a switchboard upgrade?
If your home has ceramic fuses, no safety switches, or a board more than about 30 years old — yes, genuinely. It's the single biggest electrical safety improvement most homes can make, and it's usually required before adding solar, a battery or an EV charger. We'll assess yours free and tell you straight.
Can you install a charger for my specific EV?
Almost certainly. We install chargers compatible with every EV sold in Australia — Tesla, BYD, MG, Hyundai, Kia and the rest. We'll recommend a charger based on your car, your switchboard and how much you drive, not on what's sitting in the van.
Do you handle rental compliance checks?
Yes — we carry out the electrical safety checks Victorian rental laws require, including safety switch and smoke alarm compliance, and supply the documentation your property manager needs. We can put your properties on a scheduled cycle so nothing lapses.
How much does a quote cost?
Nothing. Quotes are free within our service area, in writing, and fixed — the price we quote is the price you pay unless you change the scope.
